Platform Update: 7.0 release overview

We are pleased to announce our next major release of the Opus 2 platform, version 7.0, is now ready to roll out this month.

This new release will deliver an enhanced witness profiles management capability, in addition to an improved user experience. Here is a brief summary of what to expect from version 7.0:

Updated user experience

Existing users of the platform will notice our new brand design has been implemented. This has resulted in a cleaner interface with better colour contrasts, and a more intuitive experience overall on the platform. Whilst the platform now looks different, there has been no change to existing functionality or features so users can continue to use the platform exactly as they did before, with no disruption to current work spaces.

Enhanced witness management

We are also excited to introduce our advanced witness management capability delivered by the new Characters feature.

Users can now analyse their case information with greater speed and from new angles to derive smarter insights.

With the new Characters feature Opus 2 users are now able to:

• Prepare deposition and trial binders, in less time! With a centralised view of the witnesses in a case and all the information related to them, users can find what they need, and export with ease.
• Quickly and easily capture and review relationships between their witnesses and key evidence with multi-directional linking.
• Tailor the Characters feature to suit their individual cases. Add, remove and modify any information field and customise the layout exactly how they want it.
• Use advanced views such as worksheets and cards that offer different lenses to view their case information. We’ll also be adding more views in future releases to provide even greater flexibility.
